Every Saturday we invite a guest teacher or choreographer or professional dancer to teach our advanced students.  This year we expanded the program to include two contemporary ballet classes as well as advanced Ballet and Pointe.

This is a great opportunity for the advanced students to train with professional dancers & other accomplished teachers and get a different perspective on their Ballet technique. These classes are for students who have had a minimum of 4 years of both Ballet and Pointe training.

On Saturdays March 16th. and March 23rd., we welcome back Ms. Kathryn Roberts Leibe as part of our Saturday Guest Series.  Kathryn was a teacher here for a few years before taking time off to raise a family. Whilst here she taught ballet, pointe, modern and contemporary.  She was responsible for creating Evening of Dance whereby students performed and from the proceeds of the evening, raised money for the charity of their choice.

She is a native of North Carolina where she received her BFA  from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts – School of Dance.  She also trained on scholarship with the Boston Ballet School, Rock School, School of Hartford Ballet, Merce Cunningham Merit Scholar Program and Limon Institute.

She has been a guest teacher for NC Dance Festival and UNCSA summer program.  Kathryn has performed, choreographed and trained dancers throughout North Carolina, New York City and New Jersey.

Most recently she received her Pilates teaching certification through Kinected under the supervision of Kelly Kane and with Ellie Herman of Ellie Herman Pilates in Brooklyn NY.

She will be teaching 11 – 11:45 Contemporary Level 12/Intermediate.
11:45 – 12:45 Contemporary Advanced/Pre-Professional.
1:00 – 2:45 Ballet and Pointe Advanced/Pre-Professional.
